How to connect to a Bitbuzz Wi-Fi hotspot using your O2 iPhone?

Bitbuzz in conjunction with O2 Ireland are pleased to offer O2 iPhone Customers free* Wi-Fi access. This means you can connect to the internet and surf for free in any of our Wi-Fi hotspots. O2 Prepay iPhone customers can also surf for free in any Bitbuzz Wi-Fi hotspot for 12 months from connection if they top up once every calendar month.

The first time you use a Bitbuzz hotspot you will need to register your iPhone using the following steps. From then on you will be automatically logged in any time you open Safari in a Bitbuzz Wi-Fi hotspot. You must be in a Bitbuzz hotspot on the island of Ireland to register or use the free Wi-Fi service. To view all of our locations please click here.

Step By Step Guide

Step 1

Select 'Settings' on your iPhone homescreen. On the settings screen ensure 'Bitbuzz' is displaying beside 'Wi-Fi'. If Bitbuzz is not displayed, click on ‘Wi-Fi’ and proceed to step 1a.

Step 1a

Select Wi-Fi, and on the following screen slide the Wi-Fi slider to the on position and then select Bitbuzz from the network list. Once Bitbuzz has been selected, press the home button to return to the homescreen.

Step 2

To register for the service open the Safari browser on your iPhone and enter an address like www.o2.ie. The Bitbuzz registration page will appear, now select 'iPhone users' register button.

Step 3

Next, enter your mobile number and accept the Terms and Conditions to proceed. Select 'Register my device'.

Step 4

You will see a confirmation page; you can now freely surf over the Bitbuzz Wi-Fi network.
